What is Blu-ray?

Blu-ray is the next generation disc format for high definition content, featuring a 1080p picture (that’s up to 5 times better image quality than the standard definition)

Blu-ray uses up to 7.1 (opposed to just 5.1 in standard definition) channels of high definition surround sound, so sound quality isn't lost from the original source.

What's really great news, is that Blu-ray players are backwards compatible, meaning you can still enjoy your DVD collection on them. And often, Blu-ray Players upscale your DVDs image, making them look better than ever.

On top of that, Blu-rays are exceptionally durable, with a hard protective layer. In addition they are able to store up to 50 GB of information, not only unparalleled picture and sound, but also loads of interactive & extra content.

What do you need?

How to spot fake Blu-ray Discs?

Caution: fake Blu-ray movies, will not give you High-Definition image quality, they will give a compress image, but a big file that wont fit on regular DVD. Not only does it not have full 1080p resolution, it does not have PCM uncompressed audio tracks as found in all real Blu-ray movies.

Recently the Chinese fake Blu-ray discs appear in our market. But with some experience, you can easily spot them. Check the back of the disc; if it is dark blue and the burnt part is clear on the disc, it is FAKE. If the printed image is of bad quality, and the cover is poorly designed or looks uninviting, it is FAKE.
